Burn $PAWLY FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything about burning $PAWLY and leaving a permanent message.

What does it mean to burn $PAWLY?

Burning permanently destroys the selected tokens from your wallet and reduces the total $PAWLY supply by the same amount. The tokens cannot be recovered.

Why burn $PAWLY?

You burn something finite to create something permanent. A voluntary burn of 25,000+ $PAWLY removes those tokens from supply forever and keeps your words forever. The amount you destroy becomes part of your permanent record. Burning does not pay rewards.

What does the live burned total include?

It tracks $PAWLY permanently destroyed after trading began, with and without messages. Every burn counts once. Adding a message does not count the tokens a second time. The total updates together with the $PAWLY dashboard.

How do I burn $PAWLY and leave a message?

Choose an amount of at least 25,000 $PAWLY, write your message, and connect your wallet. Wait for the transaction to be prepared. Then click Burn & Leave a Message, approve the selected amount if needed, and confirm the burn. The tokens are burned and the message is recorded together in one transaction.

What is a permanent message?

It is a public record of your words, your wallet, the amount of $PAWLY you burned, and when you left your mark. You can read it below. Once confirmed, the message cannot be edited or removed.

Why is the minimum 25,000 $PAWLY? Can I burn more?

Leaving a message requires a burn of at least 25,000 $PAWLY. You can enter a larger amount, provided your wallet has enough $PAWLY and enough POL for the network fee.

Can I burn less than 25,000 $PAWLY?

Yes. Choose any positive amount below 25,000 $PAWLY for a simple burn without a message. The message field is disabled, and your draft stays in the form if you increase the amount again.

How long can my message be?

A short message can fit up to 280 plain English characters. Emoji and some letters use more space, so the number of characters can vary. The form checks your message and tells you if it needs to be shorter.

Is my message public?

Yes. Anyone can read your message, wallet address, burn amount, and transaction details. Do not include passwords, private keys, or information you want to keep private.

Can I undo a burn or edit my message?

Once the transaction is confirmed, the tokens are permanently destroyed and the recorded message cannot be edited or removed. Review both the amount and the text before confirming in your wallet.

Why does my wallet ask for approval?

Your wallet may first ask you to allow the selected amount of $PAWLY to be burned. This step is requested only when needed and covers just the amount you selected. A smaller burn without a message needs no approval.

Why does my wallet show a contract interaction?

Burning with a message uses the public message contract. Your wallet may describe it as a contract interaction or label it as new or unrecognized. Review the contract, the selected amount, and any wallet warnings before confirming. A warning is not a reason to approve blindly. View the verified contract ↗

What fees do I pay?

You pay a network fee in POL. Your wallet shows the fee before you confirm. Leaving a message may need an approval followed by the burn. There is no extra service fee for the message.

What if I do not have enough $PAWLY?

The page checks your balance before requesting an approval or burn. You can buy $PAWLY, return here, and try again. The page checks the selected wallet’s balance while preparing your transaction. Buy $PAWLY →

Which wallet is recorded as the burner?

The wallet you use to confirm the burn is recorded as the burner. The $PAWLY is destroyed directly from that wallet, and your message is attached to the same address.

What happens if the transaction fails?

If the burn fails, no tokens are destroyed and no message is left. A network fee may still be charged. If an approval already succeeded, that permission remains until it is used or cancelled.

Will my message survive if this website disappears?

Yes. Your confirmed message is a permanent public record that exists independently of this website. Anyone can read it or build another page to display the messages. View the permanent records ↗

Can someone change my message or return my tokens?

No. Nobody, including the team, can edit or delete your confirmed message, change the burn rules, or recover the destroyed $PAWLY. Read the permanent rules ↗
